The free listing most roofers leave half empty.

On a storm morning your profile is the first thing a customer sees, not your homepage. We fill it in properly while we build the site.

Roofing contractor is the primary category, with secondaries only where you genuinely sell that work. Most profiles stop after two lines on the services list, so we write an entry per job in the words a customer uses. On a storm morning the profile is the first thing they see, not your homepage. The categories a roofer needs, and the services under them

The primary category decides most of what you turn up for, so it goes to the work you actually want rather than the widest label we can find. For a roofing firm that is Roofing contractor. Secondary categories go on only where you genuinely sell that work.

Under the category sits the services list, and this is where most profiles stop after two lines. Every job gets its own entry with a description in the words a customer uses.

The services we write on a roofing profile

One entry each, described properly, matching the pages on the site.

  • Roof repairs, slipped and broken tiles, and leak tracing
  • Flat roofs: felt, rubber and fibreglass, with the spec named
  • Re-roofs and strip and relay, with the guarantee stated
  • Storm damage and emergency call outs
  • Chimney work, lead flashing and pointing
  • Guttering, fascias and soffits
  • Roof inspections and reports for a sale or an insurer

What to photograph, and which towns to set

Roofing photographs badly from the ground, which is why most roofing profiles look thin. Shoot from the scaffold and it stops looking like everyone else's.

01

What to shoot

The finished ridge from the scaffold, a close up of the flashing, the before with the slipped tiles, the scaffold up, the van and the crew.

02

How many

More than you think. We loaded 91 on a client profile in Wakefield, and it took an afternoon of sorting.

03

The areas

Most roofers are a service area business, so you set the towns you cover and your home address stays hidden. We set that up for you.

The review ask that works for a roofer

The moment is when the scaffold comes down and the customer walks out to look at the front of the house. That is the only day they will ever be this pleased, so that is the day you ask.

We put the review link on your phone, on the invoice and on the site, so asking is one tap for you and one tap for them. Storm work is the exception: give those a fortnight, because they are checking for leaks long after you have gone.

We do not buy reviews, write them or run them through a service that produces them. Google removes them, customers can smell them, and it puts the listing you depend on at risk.

Kidlington Roofing

A profile only works when the site behind it says the same thing. This is a roofing site we built and host, with a page for every job the profile lists.

  • A page per job: repairs, flat roofs, re-roofs, storm damage
  • The same wording on the page and in the profile services
  • No page builder behind it, so there is very little for a phone to load

Four things roofers ask about the profile

I already have a listing. Do you start again?

No. We keep the one you have, because the reviews and the history live on it. If you have lost access we claim it back for you first.

Do I have to show my home address?

No. A roofing firm is a service area business, so the towns show and the address stays hidden. Most profiles get this wrong at setup.

How often should something be posted?

A finished job every week or two is plenty. We do it under the care plan, from the photos you send us off the scaffold.

Who owns it when you are done?

You do. It is your listing under your Google account. We take a manager role while we work on it and you can remove us whenever you like.

We build the site and set the profile up beside it, then send you the link to both.

  • Free live demo. We build it first and put it on a real web address. You open it before any money changes hands.
  • Keep your domain. Your web address stays yours. If you need one we buy it in your name.
  • Live in 7 days. Seven days from sign-off. Photos, copy, forms, the lot.
  • Nothing monthly at the sale. One fixed price for the build, published on our pricing page. The care plan is a separate talk later.

Our own homepage scored 99 out of 100 on Google’s mobile speed test on 15 September 2026. Run the test yourself.

Where this sits in the build

We do not sell this on its own. It is one part of a site built for one trade in one area, with a page for every job and every town you cover.

Or read everything that is in the build.
