The quote tool, set up for builders.

Extension, loft, renovation or groundwork, whether there are drawings yet, and when they want to start. The evening quoting gets a lot shorter.

It asks the five things you would ask on the phone. Extension, loft, renovation or groundwork, whether there are drawings yet, and when they want to start. The odd jobs go elsewhere and you get a start date you can plan to, so the evening quoting gets a lot shorter. The tool you can try here is the driveways version.

The quote tool

What the building version asks

The tool further down this page is the driveways version. It is one of four we have shipped, along with drainage, fencing and tree surgery, and it is the closest of the four to the way a building enquiry runs.

A building firm's version asks these five instead.

The building version, step by step

Four screens of buttons, then a postcode, then a name and a number.

  • One, what is the work: extension, loft conversion, renovation, or groundwork
  • Two, how far along it is: drawings done, architect appointed, or an idea so far
  • Three, the property and the postcode, and when they want to start
  • Four, photos, optional: the house, the plot and the side access
  • Five, name and phone, asked last, once the job is already described

How it keeps your evenings for real jobs

Hanging a door is not a two storey extension, and the person asking for each of them looks identical in an inbox. The five answers make them look nothing alike.

01

Odd jobs go elsewhere

Only the work you want is on the buttons, so a kitchen tap never arrives dressed as a lead you have to reply to.

02

Drawings or daydreams

An architect already appointed is a job with a date. An idea from last weekend is a follow up in three months, and now you can tell them apart.

03

A start date you can plan to

Timing arrives with the lead, so the ones that fit your gap in the spring go to the top and the rest wait their turn.

Where the lead actually turns up

WhatsApp within seconds, email behind it as the record. A builder on a site all day is not refreshing an inbox, so the lead goes to the phone that is already in the pocket.

It arrives with the work, the stage, the timing, the postcode, the photos, the name and the number. That is enough to decide whether it is a phone call tonight or a site visit on Friday.

Big jobs take three or four conversations to land, so the email copy is the record you go back to when the drawings finally turn up in March.

This is the quote tool we put on your site

The tool below is the driveways version. Nothing is sent from this page. Yours would carry extensions, loft conversions, renovations and groundwork on the buttons.

What's the problem?

Tap the closest match.

How urgent is it?

An honest answer helps with scheduling. Same day on emergencies.

What kind of property?

Helps us work out the likely drain layout.

Please enter a valid UK postcode.

Got photos of the drain?

Optional. A shot of the standing water or the open chamber tells the engineer a lot.

Where do we send the quote?

In a real build this lands in the engineer's inbox.

Sorted.

The engineer will reply within one working day. That is what your customer would see.

The tool on a live client site

The Hemsley Building Services website we built for a Wakefield building firm

Live now

Hemsley Building Services, Wakefield

Our first client build, live since August 2026. Mark runs a building firm in Wakefield, and the quote form on his site was tested end to end before it went anywhere near a customer.

  • A 119 photo gallery in five tabs
  • A page for every area the firm covers
  • The form tested end to end before it went live

"Thank you so much for what you have done, you've definitely gone above and beyond."

Four things builders ask about the tool

Which version is on this page?

The driveways one. We have shipped four so far and that is the closest match to a building enquiry. Yours would be built with extensions, lofts, renovations and groundwork on the buttons.

Can it ask about budget without scaring people off?

A band works better than a box. Most people will tap a range when they will not type a number, and you still learn enough to know whether to quote.

We only want extensions and lofts. Can it say no to the rest?

Yes, and it should. If a job is not on the buttons it is not a lead, and the page can point the rest at somebody you are happy to recommend.

Can people send plans through it?

The photo step takes a picture of a drawing perfectly well, and for a full set we send them a link to upload once you have spoken.

We build the site with the building version wired up, send a test lead, then send you the link.

  • Free live demo. We build it first and put it on a real web address. You open it before any money changes hands.
  • Keep your domain. Your web address stays yours. If you need one we buy it in your name.
  • Live in 7 days. Seven days from sign-off. Photos, copy, forms, the lot.
  • Nothing monthly at the sale. One fixed price for the build, published on our pricing page. The care plan is a separate talk later.

Our own homepage scored 99 out of 100 on Google’s mobile speed test on 15 September 2026. Run the test yourself.

Where this sits in the build

We do not sell this on its own. It is one part of a site built for one trade in one area, with a page for every job and every town you cover.

Or read everything that is in the build.
