The listing an extension customer reads first.

Nobody spends sixty grand off a map pin. They read the profile, then the reviews, then the site. All three have to hold up.

Nobody spends sixty grand off a map pin, so the profile has to hold up before the site does. General contractor is the primary category, then one service entry per job you want underneath it, so you are not fielding door handle calls all week. Photos go up one project at a time. The categories a building firm needs, and the services under them

General contractor is the primary category for most building firms. It is broad, which is why the services list underneath has to do the narrowing, or you spend your week turning down door handles.

We write one entry per job you want, each with a description in plain words, and each with a page on the site behind it.

The services we write on a builder's profile

One entry each, described properly, matching the pages on the site.

  • Single and double storey extensions
  • Loft conversions, dormer and hip to gable
  • Full house renovations and refurbishments
  • Groundwork, foundations and drainage
  • Garage conversions and outbuildings
  • Structural work, steels and openings
  • Kitchens and bathrooms where you fit them
  • Driveways and patios where that is part of the work

What to photograph, and which towns to set

Building work needs the middle of the job as well as the finish. Mark's profile at Hemsley Building Services in Wakefield carries 91 of ours, and a good share of them are footings and steels rather than finished rooms.

01

What to shoot

The before, the footings, the steels going in, the first fix, and the finished room with the furniture back in it.

02

One project at a time

A set of six from one job beats sixty singles. It shows somebody that you finish what you start.

03

The areas

Six worked for Mark. Set the towns you will run a site in, because a long drive every morning shows up in the price and the reviews.

The review ask that works for a builder

A build is months long, so the ask is not at handover. It is a fortnight later, once they have lived in it, the snags are done and the dust is gone. Ask on the day you collect the last payment and you will get a short one.

Ask for detail rather than stars: what the job was, how long it took, how you handled the surprise under the floor. Those reviews are what the next extension customer reads twice.

We do not buy reviews or write them. Every one comes from somebody whose house you worked on, and we make the ask a single tap on your phone so it actually happens.

A profile we filled in, and the site it matches

The Hemsley Building Services website, built alongside the Google Business Profile

Live now

Hemsley Building Services, Wakefield

Our first client build, live since August 2026. The profile was live but thin, so we brought it up to the standard of the site we built alongside it.

  • 91 photos on the profile
  • Six service areas set properly
  • Every service described, not one category
  • The same photo set and wording as the site, so the two match

"Thank you so much for what you have done, you've definitely gone above and beyond."

Four things builders ask about the profile

We work by word of mouth. Does the listing matter?

It is where the recommendation gets checked. Somebody passes your name on, and the first thing that happens is a search for it. A thin listing undoes a good word.

Should I show my home address?

Only if customers visit you. Most building firms run as a service area business, so the towns show and the address stays hidden.

Can I add projects as we finish them?

Send us the photos and we put them up under the care plan. Most builders would rather text twenty pictures from the van than log into anything.

Who owns it at the end?

You do. It is your listing under your Google account, and our manager access comes off whenever you say.

We build the site and set the profile up beside it, then send you the link to both.

  • Free live demo. We build it first and put it on a real web address. You open it before any money changes hands.
  • Keep your domain. Your web address stays yours. If you need one we buy it in your name.
  • Live in 7 days. Seven days from sign-off. Photos, copy, forms, the lot.
  • Nothing monthly at the sale. One fixed price for the build, published on our pricing page. The care plan is a separate talk later.

Our own homepage scored 99 out of 100 on Google’s mobile speed test on 15 September 2026. Run the test yourself.

Where this sits in the build

We do not sell this on its own. It is one part of a site built for one trade in one area, with a page for every job and every town you cover.

Or read everything that is in the build.
