What we promise
Four promises about how we behave. They are deliberately about conduct rather than badges, because conduct is the thing you can hold us to.
1. Written quotes, fixed before we start
Every price is measured on site and put in writing, with the length, the height, the post type, the board type, the waste and the exclusions on it. The price stands as written. If something genuinely unforeseen turns up in the ground, we stop and talk to you before anything is spent, rather than adding it to an invoice at the end.
2. No cold calling, ever
We do not knock doors, we do not leaflet a price, and we never turn up after a storm offering to sort out a fence while the van is in the area. Every job we do starts with you contacting us. If somebody appears at your door claiming to be from us, they are not, and we would like to hear about it.
This matters more in this trade than in most. The morning after a gale is when the doorstep sellers come out, and the pattern is always the same: cash, today, no paperwork, and a price that moves once the old fence is already down.
3. Insured installers
Public liability cover is in place on every job. Ask and we will send you the certificate, with the dates on it, before anyone starts. That is a document, not a logo on a van, and you are entitled to see it from any firm quoting you.
4. The boundary is checked before we quote
Whose fence it is, and what your street allows, settled before a price is written rather than after the old one is on the lawn. That means the deeds position on ownership and the council position on height, conservation areas and Article 4 Directions. We put what we find in writing.
What we are not claiming
Being straight about the absences is part of the point.
- No trade scheme memberships are claimed anywhere on this site. If we join one, it will appear here with the issuing body and a membership number you can check, not as a picture.
- No star ratings and no review counts. There are none on this site because we are not going to publish numbers we cannot evidence.
- No years in business figure and no founding date. Plenty of fencing sites lead with one. We would rather be judged on the quote sheet.
- No guarantee length in years is stated here yet. When one is offered it will be written into the quote with what it covers and what voids it, rather than sitting on a website as a number.
