Websites for electricians in Hyde that give Hyde a page of its own.

Three of the ten firms in the local search results for electricians in Hyde have Denton addresses, and electrician Hyde returns 30 searches a month.

We build a Hyde electrician a rewire page, a board page and area pages that hold their own beside the Denton firms. Hyde South is 48.2 per cent pre 1919 housing and Newtonmoor 52.1 per cent built between 1945 and 1972 (Valuation Office stock tables, 31 March 2025). See it live before you pay, live in 7 days.

The houses in Hyde

Our own totals of the Valuation Office table CTSOP4.1, stock at 31 March 2025, cover 19,510 dwellings across the five census areas that make up Hyde. 4,780 predate 1919, 24.5 per cent, 2,940 are inter war, 15.1 per cent, 7,720 predate 1940, 39.6 per cent, and 5,830 were built between 1945 and 1972, 29.9 per cent. The published Tameside row records 105,660 properties, 22.1 per cent pre 1919 and 41.1 per cent pre 1940.

Hyde South is 48.2 per cent pre 1919 and 59.2 per cent pre 1940, the mill town core. Hyde North is 19.3 per cent pre 1919 with 26.8 per cent built since 2000. Newtonmoor is 52.1 per cent built between 1945 and 1972, Cheetham Fold and Gee Cross is 24.9 per cent inter war and 47.6 per cent pre 1940, and Godley is 33.1 per cent built between 1973 and 1999 with 18.8 per cent pre 1919, which reads as later stock than its neighbours. Hattersley, next door and counted separately, is 69.4 per cent built between 1945 and 1972 and 26.6 per cent since 2000.

Our own sum of the Census 2021 TS054 counts for the five census areas that make up the town, Hyde North, Hyde South, Godley, Newtonmoor and Cheetham Fold and Gee Cross, is 3,019 private rented households out of 18,542, 16.3 per cent, with Hyde South at 25.0 per cent and Newtonmoor at 10.3 per cent. So the site needs a rewire page written for Hyde South, a board page written for Newtonmoor and Godley, and a certificate page sitting between them.

Hyde South and the town centre

4,460 properties, 48.2 per cent pre 1919 and 59.2 per cent pre 1940, with 25.0 per cent of households renting privately (Valuation Office stock tables, stock at 31 March 2025, and our own total from Census 2021).

Full rewires and board replacements on mill town terraces, with landlord EICRs and remedial work on the rented quarter.

Hyde North

5,480 properties, 19.3 per cent pre 1919 with 26.8 per cent built since 2000, with 18.0 per cent renting privately (Valuation Office stock tables, stock at 31 March 2025, and our own total from Census 2021).

Smaller jobs on newer housing: extra sockets, lighting and chargers, next to certificates on the older half.

Gee Cross and Cheetham Fold

3,380 properties, 22.8 per cent pre 1919 and 24.9 per cent inter war, 47.6 per cent pre 1940, with 12.3 per cent renting privately (Valuation Office stock tables, stock at 31 March 2025, and our own total from Census 2021).

Owner occupied stone terrace and inter war semi work: rewires, board changes and outside power.

Newtonmoor

3,320 properties, 52.1 per cent built between 1945 and 1972 and 7.8 per cent pre 1919, with 10.3 per cent renting privately (Valuation Office stock tables, stock at 31 March 2025, and our own total from Census 2021).

Estate housing: board changes and small fault jobs, with the likely duration, disruption, testing and certification explained from your own completed jobs.

Godley and Hattersley

Godley is 33.1 per cent built between 1973 and 1999 and 18.8 per cent pre 1919. Hattersley next door is 69.4 per cent built between 1945 and 1972 and 26.6 per cent since 2000 (Valuation Office stock tables at census area level, stock at 31 March 2025).

Later estate stock. The board and charger pages belong here, and the rewire page belongs to the town centre streets. We would show your completed board changes and rewires, explaining how you assessed the existing installation.

The rules that change an electrician job in Hyde

No selective licensing scheme is published on Tameside's own site. Mandatory HMO licensing may still apply in Hyde. The council's HMO page lists an "Electrical installations inspection certificate" and a "PAT certificate for appliances" among the required documents, alongside fire and gas certificates and a floor plan. It applies where five or more people live in two or more households sharing facilities, and the council says failure to obtain a licence "can lead to fines of up to 20,000 pounds and a criminal record, and potentially, rent repayment orders" (Tameside Council, houses in multiple occupancy, read 16 September 2026).

Across most private rented homes in the borough the national rule applies. The Electrical Safety Standards in the Private Rented Sector (England) Regulations 2020 require inspection and test by a qualified person at least every five years, a report, remedial or further investigative work within 28 days, or sooner if the report requires it, copies to the tenant and to the council on request, and a financial penalty of up to 40,000 pounds for a breach. The regime was extended to the social rented sector in 2025 (gov.uk guidance on electrical safety standards in the private and social rented sectors, read 16 September 2026).

Tameside names nine conservation areas and none of them is in Hyde by name: Ashton Town Centre, Carrbrook, Copley, Fairfield, Millbrook, Mottram, Portland Basin, Stalybridge Town Centre and St Anne's. The council page gives no location for each. Its landlord guidance also notes that from 1 May 2026 the Renters' Rights Act changes how private rented homes are let, managed and ended.

For chargers the Planning Portal records the limits: a wall mounted outlet and its casing must not exceed 0.2 cubic metres and must not be within the curtilage of a listed building, an upstand must not exceed 1.6 metres in the curtilage of a dwellinghouse with one per parking space, and the parking must be off street. An article 4 direction in a conservation area or designated heritage site can remove those rights, which is why the page ends on the check: look at the address, look at any direction and the work proposed, then say what permission is needed.

The local field, 16 September 2026

Who you are up against in Hyde

Google Maps returned 40 places for electricians in Hyde on 16 September 2026. Nine have a Hyde postal address, SK14, and five of those are electrical contractors, one without a website. The other four SK14 entries are an auto electrician, a car repair garage, a vehicle inspection station and a training centre.

The pack then travels: Stockport, Denton, Dukinfield, Timperley and Manchester firms, and a long tail of firms whose name contains Hyde in Dudley, Windsor, Winchester, Kent, Shropshire and Devon. In the local search results for the same phrase, three of the ten firms carry Denton addresses and two carry no website in the listing (OpenSEO local search results, read 16 September 2026). A Hyde firm with a page for Hyde is answering a search the pack answers from somewhere else.

Where an electrician in Hyde gets to when they invest

Three Hyde firms appeared in the first ten Google local listings we checked for "electricians in Hyde", with sites worth opening. One names both Manchester and Hyde in the page title, one puts the phone number and the email at the top of every page, and one writes finished jobs up as project pages with photographs.

  • Richardson Electrical

It carries reviews on the page. It has no page per area. Quotes come by phone.

The page title names both Manchester and Hyde, and the work is split into rewiring, lighting and sockets, EV chargers and inspections and reports, each with a page of its own.

  • AA Electrical

It has no page per area and no reviews on the page. Quotes come through a form, and the phone number sits in the header.

It gives EV charge point installs, EICR certificates, PAT testing and rewires a page each, and puts the phone number and the email at the top of every page.

  • On Electrical Contractors Ltd

Built on WordPress. It carries photographs of its own jobs. It has no page per area and no reviews on the page. Quotes come through a form, and the phone number sits in the header.

Finished jobs are written up as project pages with a title and photographs, such as a tennis court lighting upgrade and a communal room refurbishment, which is proof a commercial buyer can read.

Two keep the phone number in the header, one carries reviews on the page, and none run a page per area. Each one opened and checked 16 September 2026.

The Hyde searches worth their own page

  • "electrician Hyde"

The town phrase carries the page. It names Hyde South, Hyde North, Gee Cross, Newtonmoor and Godley, with a finished board from each.

  • "electricians in Hyde"

no recorded monthly volume (OpenSEO keyword data, September 2026)

The plural sits on the same page as the singular rather than on a page of its own, with the town in the title and the first heading.

  • "house rewire Hyde"

no recorded monthly volume (OpenSEO keyword data, September 2026)

Hyde South is 48.2 per cent pre 1919 and 59.2 per cent pre 1940. The rewire page belongs to the town centre streets.

  • "fuse board replacement Hyde"

no recorded monthly volume (OpenSEO keyword data, September 2026)

Newtonmoor is 52.1 per cent built between 1945 and 1972 and Hattersley next door 69.4 per cent. The board page is the repeatable one.

  • "EICR Hyde"

no recorded monthly volume (OpenSEO keyword data, September 2026)

Hyde South is 25.0 per cent private rented on our own census total. The certificate page names the five year rule and the 28 day remedial deadline.

  • "EV charger installation Hyde"

no recorded monthly volume (OpenSEO keyword data, September 2026)

Our own DfT total puts 411 privately kept battery electric cars in the five Hyde areas at the first quarter of 2026, about 22.2 per 1,000 households. Tameside had 142 public charging devices at 1 July 2026.

Of the ten phrases checked, one returned a monthly volume. The unmeasured phrases shown here are "electricians in Hyde", "house rewire Hyde", "fuse board replacement Hyde", "EICR Hyde" and "EV charger installation Hyde" (OpenSEO keyword metrics, read 16 September 2026).

What we would build for a Hyde electrician

  • A home page naming Hyde South, Hyde North, Gee Cross, Cheetham Fold, Newtonmoor, Godley and Hattersley.
  • A rewire page for the Hyde South terraces, explaining the likely duration, disruption, testing and certification from your own completed jobs.
  • A fuse board page for Newtonmoor, Godley and Hattersley.
  • An EICR page for Hyde South and Hyde North, with the five year rule and the 28 day remedial deadline.
  • An HMO page listing the documents Tameside asks for with a licence application.
  • An EV charger page with the Planning Portal limits and the off street parking condition.
  • Area pages for Hyde South, Hyde North, Gee Cross, Newtonmoor and Godley, plus one for Denton if you cover it.
  • A quote tool that asks the board age, the bedroom count and the postcode, and takes a photograph of the board.

What every electrician site needs, whatever the town, is on our electricians page.

Electricians in Hyde ask us

  • Half my customers search for Denton or Stalybridge too. Does that change the site?

It argues for a page per town. In the local search results for electricians in Hyde on 16 September 2026, three of the ten firms are based in Denton, and other sites serving Hyde are run from Stockport addresses. A Hyde firm with only a home page is up against sites that give Hyde a page of its own.

  • Is there real rewire money in Hyde or is it all small jobs?

There is, and it is concentrated. Hyde South is 48.2 per cent pre 1919 and 59.2 per cent pre 1940, while Newtonmoor is 52.1 per cent built between 1945 and 1972 and Hattersley 69.4 per cent (Valuation Office stock tables, stock at 31 March 2025). Those two need different pages and different prices.

  • What is the one search I should be sure I answer?

Electrician Hyde, at 30 searches a month (OpenSEO keyword data, September 2026). Nothing else we queried for Hyde returned a volume, including EICR Hyde and house rewire Hyde, so the town phrase carries the page and the job pages pick up the rest.

  • What sort of work does Godley throw up?

Godley is 33.1 per cent built between 1973 and 1999 and 18.8 per cent pre 1919, while Hyde South is 48.2 per cent pre 1919 (Valuation Office stock tables, stock at 31 March 2025). We would point the board and charger pages at Godley and the rewire page at Hyde South.
