Our own totals of the Valuation Office stock table CTSOP4.1, stock at 31 March 2025, cover 13,740 dwellings across the four Bicester census areas. 3.1% were built before 1919 and 5.9% before 1945. 55.4% date from 1973 to 1999 and 14.5% from 2000 or later.
On the same totals Bicester South is 32.9% built since 2000, Bicester West is 51.2% built between 1945 and 1972, Bicester East is 33.8% from that period, and Bicester North is 0.7% pre 1919.

Cherwell District Council has 60 conservation areas. The centre of Bicester is one of them, and the former airbase at RAF Bicester is separately designated.
Cherwell states that inside a conservation area permission is needed before cladding, before a dormer window or any other alteration to the roof, and for demolition of a structure over 115 cubic metres.
