Websites for roofers in Leeds that fill the diary.

We would show how you handle shared ridges, street scaffold and terrace repairs.

The Leeds Housing Strategy 2022 to 2027 records 19,500 pre 1919 back to back houses still in use in the city. The houses in Leeds

Valuation Office stock table CTSOP4.1, stock at 31 March 2025, counts 376,780 properties in Leeds, 64,810 built before 1919 and 135,570 before 1940. The council's 2025 Strategic Housing Market Assessment records 64,840 pre 1919 dwellings, 17.7% of the city, and 37% built before 1945.

The Leeds Housing Strategy 2022 to 2027 states that Leeds has a notably large amount of 19,500 pre 1919 back to back houses still in use. A back to back has a shared ridge and no rear access, and the scaffold has to go up from the street.

The council's 2025 assessment records 69% of dwellings as houses, 27.6% terraced, 30.6% semi detached and 10.8% detached, with 25.3% flats and 5.7% bungalows. Census 2021 table TS044 records 37.5% semi detached, 25.0% terraced, 17.5% purpose built flats and 15.5% detached.

We would give the back to back work, the terrace work and the flat roof work a page each, with your own photographs and quote questions on every one.

Headingley and Hyde Park and Woodhouse

Both named in the council's HMO Article 4 direction, which covers 14 areas of the city. Dense pre-1919 terrace and back-to-back stock, named in the council HMO Article 4 direction.

Landlord repairs booked fast: slipped slates, gutters, chimney and flashing, with access and scaffold the real cost driver on a back-to-back.

Gipton and Harehills

Named in the HMO Article 4 direction. Heavily pre-1919 terraced.

Terrace re-roofs and repairs, often for agents and landlords, priced on access and on how many houses in the row go at once.

Armley and Bramley and Stanningley

Armley holds a conservation area on the council's list and is also in the HMO Article 4 direction.

Slate and stone work inside the conservation boundary, ordinary terrace repair outside it, in the same round.

Beeston Hill and Holbeck

Named in the HMO Article 4 direction, inner south Leeds terrace stock.

Repair led work, low value per job, won on being picked up the same day.

Otley, Wetherby and Aberford

All named conservation areas on the council's list, outer Leeds market towns and villages.

Planned re-roofs on higher value stock with matching materials and a planning application, the jobs worth a case study page.

The rules that change a roofing job in Leeds

Leeds City Council gives a figure of 80 conservation areas, among them Aberford, Armley, Chapel Allerton, Leeds City Centre, Otley and Wetherby.

Separately, an Article 4 direction for houses in multiple occupation covers 14 named areas: Adel and Wharfedale, Armley, Beeston Hill and Holbeck, Bramley and Stanningley, Burmantofts and Richmond Hill, Chapel Allerton, City and Hunslet, Gipton and Harehills, Headingley, Horsforth, Hyde Park and Woodhouse, Kirkstall, Moortown, Roundhay and Weetwood. That direction is about use rather than roofs.

We would build a page that explains which jobs need permission and says that you check the address against the conservation area boundary and against any Article 4 direction before you quote.

Who you are up against in Leeds

We counted the Google Maps results for roofers in Leeds on 16 September 2026. The sample was 40 listings: 32 had a website and 8 had none. Thirteen of the 40 carried Leeds in their web address, and two of the listings were not Leeds roofers, one a Blackpool firm and one a driveway company.

That is one dated sample of one search. What we would do with it is give Headingley, Harehills, Armley, Kirkstall and Beeston a page each, carrying the work you have taken there.

Where a roofer in Leeds gets to when they invest

Three Leeds firms appeared in the first ten Google local listings we checked for "roofers in Leeds", with sites worth opening. Leeds Roofing Co, Yorkshire Roofing and Weatherpro Roofing each give a service its own page and keep a number and a quote route above the fold.

  • Leeds Roofing Co

It carries reviews on the page. It has no page per area. Quotes come by phone, and the phone number sits in the header.

Every service has its own flat HTML page named for the town, such as emergency-roof-repairs-leeds.html and slate-tile-roofing-leeds.html, and the header carries the mobile number and a free quote link.

  • Yorkshire Roofing

Built on WordPress. It carries photographs of its own jobs and reviews on the page. It has no page per area. Quotes come through a form, and the phone number sits in the header.

The navigation splits residential from commercial with its own service page under each, and the header carries a landline, a 24/7 emergency mobile and the opening hours.

  • Weatherpro Roofing Ltd

Built on WordPress. It carries reviews on the page. It has no page per area and no photographs of its own jobs. Quotes come through a form, and the phone number sits in the header.

A quote bar sits above the navigation on every page and each of the six services has its own page.

All three keep the phone number in the header, all three carry reviews on the page, and none run a page per area. Each one opened and checked 17 September 2026.

  • A landlord and agent page for the Article 4 belt.

Roofers in Leeds ask us

  • Do I need a page per area in a city this size?

Leeds City Council's HMO Article 4 direction names 14 areas, from Headingley to Beeston Hill and Holbeck, and the council gives a figure of 80 conservation areas. We would give the areas you cover a page each, carrying the jobs you have taken in them and the quote questions for each one.

  • Back to backs are half my diary. Is that a selling point?

The Leeds Housing Strategy 2022 to 2027 states that the city has 19,500 pre 1919 back to back houses still in use. We would give that its own page, showing the shared ridge, the street scaffold and the access, with photographs of the ones you have done.

  • Should flat roofs get their own page?

Separate pages let us show the photographs, the method and the quote questions for flat roof work and for pitched work, rather than putting both on one page.

  • What did you find on Google Maps for Leeds roofers?

In our sample of 16 September 2026, 40 listings came back: 32 with a website, 8 with none, 13 carrying Leeds in the web address, and two that were not Leeds roofers at all. That is one dated sample of one search. We would give each job and each area its own page, showing your work.
