Websites for landscapers in Clevedon that answer the conservation area question.

Clevedon holds 10,100 properties across its three census areas, 2,190 of them built before 1919 (Valuation Office stock table CTSOP4.1, stock at 31 March 2025), and North Somerset Council's Article 4 Directions page lists five Clevedon documents.

We build a page for every job you want and a page for every area you cover, with the quote tool on each one. Census 2021 table TS044 records 42.4 per cent of Clevedon North and Walton households in detached houses and 30.3 per cent of Clevedon Central households in flats. The houses in Clevedon

Our own total of the Valuation Office stock table CTSOP4.1, stock at 31 March 2025, across the three Clevedon census areas is 10,100 properties. 2,190 of them, 21.7 per cent, were built before 1919, 3,080 before 1940, 2,430 from 1945 to 1972, 3,960 from 1973 to 1999 and 630 from 2000 onwards. These are our own totals over the three named Clevedon areas rather than a published town row.

Clevedon South and Yeo on its own holds 2,700 of its 3,590 properties in the 1973 to 1982 band. Census 2021 table TS044 records 42.4 per cent of Clevedon North and Walton households in detached houses, 30.3 per cent of Clevedon Central households in flats, and 38.9 per cent semi detached with 30.8 per cent terraced in Clevedon South and Yeo.

Two ends of one town, and the pages should read that way. We would build a page for the older streets above Hill Road and a page for the estates south of the town, each with your own work on it.

Clevedon North and Walton, Hill Road and above

2,640 properties, 34.5 per cent built before 1919 and 46.6 per cent before 1940 (Valuation Office stock tables, 2025). Census 2021 TS044 records 42.4 per cent detached and 11.6 per cent converted flats, the highest converted flat share of the three Clevedon areas.

Full garden rebuilds and stone or sleeper retaining work on detached plots.

Clevedon Central

3,870 properties, 31.5 per cent built before 1919 and 43.9 per cent before 1940, with 9.3 per cent from 2000 onwards (Valuation Office stock tables, 2025). Census 2021 TS044 records 30.3 per cent flats and 35 per cent semi detached.

Patios, planting and boundary work on the semi detached and terraced houses among the flats.

Clevedon South and Yeo

3,590 properties, 80.2 per cent built from 1973 to 1999 and 1.7 per cent before 1919 (Valuation Office stock tables, 2025). Census 2021 TS044 records 38.9 per cent semi detached and 30.8 per cent terraced.

Patios, turfing and decking on semi detached and terraced plots.

The conservation areas and the Triangle

North Somerset Council's Article 4 Directions page lists five Clevedon documents: three for a Clevedon conservation area and two for the Clevedon Triangle conservation area.

Boundary walls, gates and fences, with the designation checked against the address first.

The rules that change a landscaping job in Clevedon

North Somerset Council says that in a conservation area planning permission is needed for, among other things, "demolition of walls, gates and fences which are one metre or above and next to a highway, including a public footpath or bridleway, waterway or open space" or "two metres or above elsewhere". On trees the same page says "you need to give us six weeks' notice if you want to cut down, top or lop a tree in a conservation area".

The Planning Portal lists outbuildings as permitted development subject to limits, among them no outbuilding on land forward of a wall forming the principal elevation, a maximum height of 2.5 metres for a building, enclosure or container within two metres of a boundary of the curtilage, and no more than half the area of land around the original house covered by additions or other buildings. The same page says that on designated land buildings at the side of a property require planning permission, that within the curtilage of a listed building any outbuilding requires planning permission, and that the allowances do not apply to flats and maisonettes.

The council's Article 4 Directions page carries five Clevedon documents, three for a Clevedon conservation area and two for the Clevedon Triangle, and the council says an Article 4 Direction can void permitted development rights for works that usually need no permission.

We would explain how you check the conservation boundary, any tree preservation order, any Article 4 direction and the proposed work before confirming whether permission or notice is needed.

Who you are up against in Clevedon

We counted the Google Maps results for landscapers in Clevedon on 16 September 2026. The sample was 29 listings, all of them with a BS21 postcode: fifteen were garden, landscaping or fencing firms, nine of those had a website and six had none. The rest of the pull was other trades and places, among them two skip and waste firms, a tree surgery firm, an electrician, a builder, a groundworks firm, a handyman, a DIY shop, a national builders merchant branch, an allotment site and the pier.

One search, one day, one sample, and it is dated. What we would do with it is give Hill Road and Walton, Clevedon Central and Clevedon South and Yeo a page each, with your finished gardens on them.

Where a landscaper in Clevedon gets to when they invest

Three Clevedon firms appeared in the first ten Google local listings we checked for "landscapers in Clevedon", with sites worth opening. One of the three puts both a landline and a mobile at the top of the page.

  • LJH LANDSCAPING SW LTD

Built on WordPress. It carries photographs of its own jobs and reviews on the page. It has no page per area. Quotes come through a form.

The title tag says "Landscaping in Bristol and North Somerset", so the patch is stated before a buyer has read a word of the page, and a WhatsApp route sits alongside the form.

  • Outerspace - Creative Landscaping

Built on WordPress. It carries photographs of its own jobs and reviews on the page. It has no page per area. Quotes come by phone.

It publishes named projects on their own URLs, such as a Bristol town garden, so a buyer can open one finished job rather than scroll a wall of photographs.

  • Westend Landscapes

It carries photographs of its own jobs. It has no page per area and no reviews on the page. Quotes come by phone, and the phone number sits in the header.

Both a landline and a mobile sit in the top of the page, so a customer standing in the garden can ring either without hunting for a contact page.

One keeps the phone number in the header, two carry reviews on the page, and none run a page per area. Each one opened and checked 16 September 2026.

What we would build for a Clevedon landscaper

  • A home page naming Hill Road and Walton, Clevedon Central, Clevedon South and Yeo, and the Triangle.
  • A patios page for the Clevedon South and Yeo plots, with the materials named.
  • A garden rebuild page for the detached plots above Hill Road.
  • A decking page setting out the Planning Portal height and coverage conditions in plain words.
  • A boundary page for walls, gates and fences, quoting the council's one metre and two metre wording.
  • A rules page on the five Clevedon Article 4 documents and the six weeks notice for conservation area trees.
  • Area pages for Walton, Clevedon Central, Clevedon South, Yeo and the Triangle.
  • A quote tool that asks what the garden needs, its rough size, whether there is machine access, and takes two photographs.

Landscapers in Clevedon ask us

  • My work splits between the old town and the estates. Can one page cover both?

The Valuation Office table puts Clevedon North and Walton at 34.5 per cent built before 1919 and Clevedon South and Yeo at 80.2 per cent built from 1973 to 1999. That is a difference in housing age, not in the work. We would give each end its own page and let your photographs show what the two actually ask for.

  • Does the conservation area change what I can quote for?

It changes the boundary work. North Somerset Council lists demolition of walls, gates and fences of one metre or above next to a highway, or two metres or above elsewhere, among the works needing permission in a conservation area, and its Article 4 page carries five Clevedon documents. That is worth a section of its own.

  • What was actually in the Clevedon listing count?

Of the 29 Google listings we counted on 16 September 2026, fifteen were garden, landscaping or fencing firms with a Clevedon postcode, nine of them with a website and six without. The other fourteen were skip firms, tree surgery, a DIY shop and the pier. It is a listing count and nothing more.
