Websites for landscapers in Portishead that name the marina and Redcliffe.

Portishead holds 11,370 properties across its three census areas (Valuation Office stock table CTSOP4.1, stock at 31 March 2025), and North Somerset Council lists an Article 4 Direction document for Battery Lane.

We build a page for each job and a page for each area, with a quote tool that asks the garden size, the access and two photographs. North Somerset Council says a conservation area tree that is not protected by a TPO and has a trunk diameter of more than 75mm measured at chest height needs six weeks notice to the council before the proposed plans. The houses in Portishead

Our own total of the Valuation Office stock table CTSOP4.1, stock at 31 March 2025, across the three Portishead census areas is 11,370 properties. 4,260 of them, 37.5 per cent, were built from 2000 onwards, 2,880 from 1973 to 1999, 2,840 from 1945 to 1972 and 830 before 1919. That is our own total over the named areas rather than a published town row.

Inside the post 2000 figure, 2,560 properties date from 2000 to 2008 and 1,700 from 2009 onwards. Census 2021 table TS044 records 69.1 per cent of Portishead Redcliffe households in detached houses, 41 per cent in Portishead South, and 40.8 per cent of Portishead Central households in flats.

We would give the three areas a page each. Each one would carry your own finished gardens and the access arrangements you found on those addresses.

Portishead Central, the marina and the town centre

4,960 properties, 47.2 per cent built from 2000 onwards and 12.5 per cent before 1919 (Valuation Office stock tables, 2025). Census 2021 TS044 records 40.8 per cent of households in flats, 23.9 per cent semi detached and 16.4 per cent detached.

Paving, planting and raised beds on the marina houses among the flats.

Portishead South

3,710 properties, 46.4 per cent built from 2000 onwards and 26.4 per cent from 1973 to 1999 (Valuation Office stock tables, 2025). Census 2021 TS044 records 41 per cent detached and 25.6 per cent semi detached.

Patios, turfing and planting on detached and semi detached plots.

Redcliffe

2,700 properties, 50 per cent built from 1973 to 1999 and 2.6 per cent before 1919 (Valuation Office stock tables, 2025). Census 2021 TS044 records 69.1 per cent detached, the highest detached share of the three Portishead areas.

Full garden rebuilds, patios and sleeper walls on the Redcliffe detached plots.

Battery Lane

North Somerset Council lists an Article 4 Direction document for Battery Lane, Portishead, in two parts on its Article 4 Directions page.

Hardstanding and boundary work on Battery Lane, with the direction checked against the address first.

The rules that change a landscaping job in Portishead

North Somerset Council says you must apply to it for permission to prune or fell a tree protected by a tree preservation order. For a tree that "is in a conservation area; is not protected by a TPO; has a trunk diameter of more than 75mm (measured at chest height)" the same council page says "you must give us six weeks notice before your proposed plans", and adds "Please note that shrubs and bushes are not protected."

The Planning Portal says putting up decking or other raised platforms in a garden is permitted development providing the decking is no more than 30cm above the ground, providing it covers with other extensions and outbuildings no more than 50 per cent of the garden area, and providing none of it is on land forward of a wall forming the principal elevation. The same page says those allowances apply to houses rather than to flats and maisonettes, and do not apply where a planning condition, an Article 4 Direction or another restriction limits permitted development rights.

North Somerset Council also says an Article 4 Direction can void permitted development rights for works that usually need no permission, and it names driveways among those works. Its Article 4 Directions page lists a Battery Lane, Portishead document.

We would explain how you check the conservation boundary, any tree preservation order, any Article 4 direction and the proposed work before confirming whether permission or notice is needed.

Who you are up against in Portishead

We counted the Google Maps results for landscapers in Portishead on 16 September 2026. The sample was 24 listings, every one of them with a BS20 postcode: fourteen were garden or landscaping firms, seven of those had a website and seven had none. The same pull carried a heating firm, a roofing firm, an electrician, three builders, a turf supplier, a building materials store, a skip and clearance business and an allotment site.

That is one dated sample of one Portishead search. What we would do with it is give Portishead Central, Portishead South and Portishead Redcliffe a page each, carrying the gardens you have finished in them.

Where a landscaper in Portishead gets to when they invest

Three Portishead firms appeared in the first ten Google local listings we checked for "landscapers in Portishead", with sites worth opening. One of the three already runs a page for every area it covers, with the places in the page title.

  • Nick White Landscaping

A custom site built by an agency. It carries a page per area, photographs of its own jobs and reviews on the page. Quotes come through a form, and the phone number sits in the header.

It runs a page per area under /areas-covered/, with Portishead, Clevedon, Nailsea, Pill, Weston and Bristol each on their own URL, and the title tag names those places rather than saying landscaping.

  • Wills Landscaping

Built on WordPress. It carries photographs of its own jobs and reviews on the page. It has no page per area.

The home page carries a gallery and a testimonials section, so a buyer sees finished work and other people's words in one scroll.

  • Signature Landscaping

Built on WordPress. It carries photographs of its own jobs and reviews on the page. It has no page per area. Quotes come through a form.

The landline appears nine times in the page source alongside a contact form and a portfolio, so a buyer has two ways to start from whichever section they stop on.

One keeps the phone number in the header, all three carry reviews on the page, and one runs a page per area. Each one opened and checked 16 September 2026.

The Portishead searches worth their own page

  • "landscapers in Portishead"

no recorded monthly volume (OpenSEO keyword data, September 2026)

The town page all the same. It names Portishead Central, Portishead South and Portishead Redcliffe and shows a finished garden in each.

  • "landscape gardeners Portishead"

10 searches a month (OpenSEO keyword data, September 2026)

The phrase that sits between a tidy up and a rebuild. It runs on the town page beside the job pages.

  • "landscaping Portishead"

10 searches a month (OpenSEO keyword data, September 2026)

A second town level phrase for the same page, carried in the first heading.

  • "garden design Portishead"

10 searches a month (OpenSEO keyword data, September 2026)

A page of its own for the design side, with a plan and the finished garden beside it.

  • "artificial grass Portishead"

10 searches a month (OpenSEO keyword data, September 2026)

Its own page, showing the edging, the base and the finished lawn on gardens you have laid.

  • "patio installers Portishead"

no recorded monthly volume (OpenSEO keyword data, September 2026)

The patio page is still the one the Redcliffe and Portishead South plots read, with the materials named.

Four of the six Portishead phrases shown carry a recorded monthly volume. Landscapers in Portishead and patio installers Portishead returned no row at all (OpenSEO keyword data, September 2026).

What we would build for a Portishead landscaper

  • A home page naming Portishead Central, Portishead South, Portishead Redcliffe and Battery Lane.
  • A patios page with the before shot and the finished job taken from the same spot.
  • A turfing page for the Portishead South and Redcliffe plots.
  • A garden design page, since garden design Portishead carries a recorded monthly volume.
  • An artificial grass page showing the edging and the base on gardens you have laid.
  • A rules page quoting North Somerset Council's six weeks notice for conservation area trees and its Battery Lane Article 4 document.
  • Area pages for Portishead Central, Portishead South, Portishead Redcliffe and the marina streets.
  • A quote tool that asks what the garden needs, roughly how big it is, whether a machine can get in, and takes two photographs.

The nearest build of ours you can open

Blythe Driveways, Solihull

A driveways firm in Solihull rather than a landscaper, so the jobs and the gallery would change. The page per job, the page per area and the quote tool are the same bones we would build in Portishead.

Landscapers in Portishead ask us

  • Do the marina and the older streets need separate pages?

North Somerset Council says a conservation area tree that is not protected by a TPO and has a trunk diameter of more than 75mm measured at chest height needs six weeks notice to the council before the proposed plans. Those are accommodation types, not garden sizes. We would give each area its own page and let your finished gardens and your notes on access say what the figures cannot.

  • What do I have to say about trees before I quote?

North Somerset Council says you must apply for permission to prune or fell a tree with a preservation order, and that a conservation area tree with a trunk over 75mm measured at chest height needs six weeks notice. Its page also says shrubs and bushes are not protected. We would put that on the page with the link.

  • Only 24 listings came back for Portishead. What does that tell me?

It tells you what Google returned on 16 September 2026 and nothing else. Fourteen of the 24 were garden or landscaping firms, seven with a website and seven without. It is one dated sample of one search, so we would build for the areas you work rather than for a listing count.
